- New central systems use updated refrigerants such as R-454B. That is the industry moving to a lower global-warming option — not a sales gimmick.
- If your AC or heat pump still uses older R-410A, we can keep servicing it. When it is time to replace, we will put you on current equipment.
- Rebates and tax credits change. Qualifying heat pumps and high-efficiency systems often have incentives. We will point you to what is current when we quote.
Is American Standard the same as Trane?
They are sister brands under the same parent company and share a lot of engineering. The cabinets, features, and dealer network differ. We chose American Standard because it gives our customers proven equipment at a fair value.
How long does an American Standard system last?
With regular maintenance, a well-installed furnace, AC, or heat pump often runs 15 years or more. Maintenance is the difference between “it should last” and “it actually did.”
Do I need new ducts?
Not always. If the ducts are the right size and in decent shape, we reuse them. If they are leaky, crushed, or undersized, fixing that matters as much as the new equipment. We will say so up front.
Can I add air conditioning to a furnace-only house?
Yes. A matching American Standard AC or heat pump and coil is a very common upgrade here, especially as summers have gotten warmer.
